All cosmetic procedures carry risks, including Rejuran treatments. While complications are uncommon, it is important to be aware of the potential risks associated with injectable procedures.
General injection-related risks:
Swelling, redness, tenderness, bleeding, bruising or haematoma can occur at the injection site. There is also a small risk of damage to underlying structures, which may affect appearance, sensation or function. In rare cases, these issues may require medical intervention and can be permanent.
Infection:
Although rare, bacterial, viral or fungal infections can develop after treatment. Delayed infections—including biofilm reactions—can occur months later. Injections around the mouth may trigger a recurrence of cold sores in clients who are prone to them.
Reactions:
Adverse reactions are uncommon but may include immediate swelling or, in very rare cases, severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis. Delayed skin reactions may present as nodules, lumps or abscesses.
Your nurse will discuss all relevant risks, assess your suitability and provide personalised advice during your consultation.
